We were at the beach on Saturday and took these pictures. When we got home, we had pictures in our email inbox from my dad showing pictures of 11" of snow. Sorry, Pops.

The beach is nice right now because it's the off-season: for the locals it's "winter", and the holiday tourists haven't arrived yet.

The days at the beach look wonderful! Glad you can take advantage of those priviliges of living in the tropics. Our snow is beautiful, truly it is! It is also more confining so we take walks down a slippery street or trudge through the deep snow in the backyard for a quick jaunt to the library! Very eager to see you ALL in a few weeks!! Love, Oma

It's kind of odd to look out my window at 8 inches of snow then see such lovely beach pictures. I guess you'll get get to see the snow soon enough...
